Flashback Friday: Natalie Wood

Bring on the mod, girly, and effortless style from the late-50's and 60's!
Natalie Wood was a movie and TV star, best know for her roles in Miracle on 34th Street, Splendor in the Grass, Rebel Without a Cause, and West Side Story. She received three Academy Award nominations in her lifetime, and loved fashion
Today I will be breaking down three of her looks, and styling modern versions of them.
This outfit is perfect for just about anything. You could go shopping in it or wear it while strolling through the museum. This is also a really good look to go to class in due to how comfortable and low maintenance it is (just add a light jacket because classrooms are freezing).
The flowy crop top with cuffed capris is a great casual outfit. With the addition of simple accessories, the look becomes more polish. Be sure that instead of "skinny", look for tapered pants or capris. This will look more relaxed and natural. If needing to dress it up, add a light cardigan, and a strappy heel.
This dressy look is my favorite. Since the dress is so modern, its important to keep the accessories minimalist and retro. Be cautious though. Over accessorizing will make the outfit look tacky. The dress does enough through color, structure, and style.
